Hollandia

Hollandia is an excting 2d action-adventure game, in which you discover a beautiful and enchanting world, completely inspired by Dutch folklore!

 Story

Hollandia is set in a fairytale Holland, borrowing elements from both Dutch history and folklore. Main character Tulpje is an adventurous young girl from Fryslân, skilled with a spinning top. When her mother falls ill and no medicine or prayer helps, she decides to travel through the Netherlands herself looking for a cure. During her travels she will meet all kinds of fairytale characters, from Reynaert the trickster fox to the mysterious Black Piets!

Gameplay

The spinning top is your weapon! This old Dutch toy can be used in various ways. Hit it with your whip to unleash various moves. Make it bounce between enemies or obstacles for chain combos. Use its boomerang qualities to hit enemies from behind.

 Visual Style

The 2D visual style of Hollandia is inspired by the Dutch artists of the Golden Age. This makes the game feels like a detailed painting in which you are free to move and play.

Goal

Hollandia is all about discovery. We want the players to discover a Holland they haven't seen before. You know the cheese, you know the tulips. We want to show you the Holland you don't know.
